Feed Your Soul

A long time ago…
 
You were the one who started this.
 
It was awesome!
 
It was scary.
 
It was fun!
 
It was crazy!
 
It was nice.
 
And then, something happened.
 
And then you changed.
 
And so did everything else.
 
You changed, and the world changed around you.
 
If only you could go back to that time…
 
…a long time ago.
 
If only you could redirect this nonsense…
 
…this nonsense that the world is against you.
 
You are actually correct:
 
The world **IS** against you.
 
But fear not, neighbor:
 
The world is also **FOR** you;
 
It is on YOUR side!
 
For you see…
 
You are the only one who lives in your world.
 
And if you take a deep, deep look…
 
...far into this life of yours,
 
You will surely see…
 
You are the only one who matters,
 
…especially  when it comes to understanding this:
 
You are the primary one who is against you.
 
Yet…
 
You are also the one who is truly for you.
 
This reminds me of an old folktale…
 
One evening, an old Cherokee sage told his grandson about a battle that goes on inside each of us…
 
“My son,” he said, “the battle is between two wolves inside us all.  One is evil… full of anger, envy, jealousy, greed, and arrogance.  The other is good… full of peace, love, hope, humility, compassion, and faith.”
 
The grandson thought about this for a while and then asked his grandfather, “Which wolf wins?”
 
His Grandfather simply replied, “The one you feed.”
 
Which one will YOU feed today?
 
Tomorrow?
 
Forever?
 
Feed your soul.
